Introduction to Location Geography

Knowing where places are is a crucial part of the National Curriculum at both KS1 and KS2 and the earlier they start the better, so do encourage the children to learn about locational knowledge in the Early Years.

Having world maps around the walls in the classroom, atlases in your book corner, hug-a-globes and inflatable globes, even globe stress balls are all really good ways of children practising and developing their locational skills as the ideas in this useful guide develop.
